The protracted wars in the Middle East have become a significant issue worldwide. The rise in violence and humanitarian crises have induced the global community to respond by taking certain steps to restore peace. Recently, the scope of hostilities between Israel and Hamas has increased with the involvement of other regional countries, making the efforts geared on peace tough to achieve. The conflict has already displaced populations, caused many deaths, destroyed property, thus there are appeals for emergency relief, and sustainable political resolution at the earliest.

International Diplomacy has witnessed the efforts of many world leaders to mediate the conflict, however, ceasefire seems almost impossible. The United Nations, the United States and other countries have asked both sides to avoid escalation, and called for the establishment of humanitarian corridors for the delivery of assistance to local populations in trouble. Such initiatives show how intricate the situation is because Regional players too get involved with their objectives and interests.
Such crises are prone to but not primarily driven by conflicts over interest in status, resources or even mutual extermination. Historical narratives ‘not’ strategies or self-seeking behaviours are the most salient structural cause of a confrontation lasting this long. Analysts suggest that even the most cynical supportive measures for peace may not be effective unless these principle issues are resolved. Of other consequences, nevertheless, loss of support comes when it is unqualified and the reasons for it are too gross to fight. For example, recent calls for governments taking more decisive action have been amplified by worldwide machinations.

Thanks to this, the necessity of diplomacy, reconciliation and rebuilding the damaged trust is pressing. And just like that, the political landscape grows more tense as the focus extends beyond the region to geopolitical concerns, tensions being cradled by that most volatile of all peace processes.
